• items with their quantities, units, locations and best-before dates;
• your shopping list, and what you ticked off;
• the history of each item: used one, used up, binned, restocked;
• your settings: expiring-soon window, date format, units, backdrop.

A full larder is a surprisingly personal document — it can suggest a household's size, its diet and its budget — which is why none of it is uploaded. There is no server behind Cellarium to receive it and we cannot read it. The one copy that may sit elsewhere is your own Android backup at Google, if that is enabled on your phone.

None at all. No camera, because there is no barcode scanning; no location; no contacts; no files; no notifications. Nothing is fetched, so nothing needs a connection.

No sign-in, no email address, no advertising identifier, no analytics events, no profiling. We have no idea how many items you keep or how much you waste; that page exists for you, not for us.

The app is distributed by Google Play under Google's own privacy policy. Where a device is set to send usage and diagnostics to Google, aggregate crash and performance figures may appear on our Play Console. They identify no one, and we look at them to find out what broke.

Children can use the app freely; it gathers nothing from anyone, and holds no chat, no links out and nothing to buy. Cooking and food safety, of course, stay an adult's job.

Writing to us gives us your address and your message. We use them to answer and to fix the app, resting on our legitimate interest in replying to correspondence, and we delete the thread within a year of the last reply unless the law says otherwise.

Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability all apply, though correspondence is the only thing we could produce. Ask us and we reply inside a month. If that leaves you unhappy, the Information Commissioner's Office takes complaints: ico.org.uk, or 0303 123 1113.

To erase everything at once, open Cellarium in Android's app settings, go to its storage and clear the data; uninstalling does the same. Both take the whole ledger, its history and your statistics with them, with no copy anywhere to restore from, so be sure before you tap. This page is revised, with a new date on the plate above, before any release that changes how the app handles data.
